Year of Reading: Weeks One and Two
Jan. 13th, 2008 09:57 pmApparently it's the Year of Reading... I didn't know this. It also occured to me that I have at least 52 books on my shelves. So, I thought, in the spirit of spreading the literary love, why not, once a week, recommend one of the books I like because a) everyone should read more and b) apparently I don't have enough ways to waste my time on a sunday.
My first two recs of the year are not, as you might immediate expect, fiction, but factual books. They were both, however, books that made a great impact on me when I first read them. I'm also going to make these reviews a bit shorter than I'll hopefully make future ones, simply because I have two to get away here (given that it's the second week of the year) and also because I'm writing them after getting home from work and before going to bed. So, without further ado, the recs.
