I went on a bit of an uploading spree last night, and when I say spree, I mean I fought violently with the Youtube uploading interface for the better part of six hours, getting error messages on 80% of the stuff I tried (for no apparent reason), and stuck up there, along with a load of gameplay videos, what is probably the only thing even approaching a fanvid I ever did.

Vidding is something I'd kinda like to get into, but I'm not very au fait with the culture, and the sort of thing that's expected. I'd sort of played around mostly as an exercise in editing, creating a more or less extended trailer for Earth: Final Conflict's second season (I'm determined to be a fandom of one on this one), so, as such no one gave two figs when I posted a reference to it back when I first did it. I figured I'd stick it up there anyway, for posterity.

I've been listening to the Torchwood audiobook "Hidden", read by Naoko Mori. Bless, she's not brilliant at accents, is she? Of course, it's not helped by the way she has to carefully pick her way through some unnecessarily technical and complicated sentences. She's also not as great at building excitement, but I suppose Tori Higgenson has completely spoiled me there.

Also, I got an email last week that I'm up to rec fic for Earth: Final Conflict over at crack_van, which threw me, because I'd completely forgotten I'd ever volunteered for that. Fortunately, when I volunteered, I wrote half a fandom summary while I was thinking about it.

Only problem is that I'm having trouble digging up recs. I've got three (the minimum is four), and I'm pretty sure I can find four, but I don't suppose anyone has a list of EFC fic sites that are still active? I know there was one on the short-lived efc_revival comm, but that is obviously gone. I'd love to see if we can dig up what remains of the fandoms goodies and put it out there.

I'm very happy, since fantasmabob apparently read my mind, and found a bunch of other people from the old EFC fandom and brought them together, which is what I'd been desperately hoping for, but had no idea how to do myself. :3

EFC was the last fandom I was actively involved in; since then I've just been content to read fanfic and not get involved in any. Maybe it's because a lot of fans kinda scare me these days... ^^ I miss the EFC fandom so much.

So, you know, those fics I've been writing might actually get read now. I have like... three on the go. God bless DVDs ressurrecting my interest.
